It's been a while but we're back with our weekly blog series, What's Going On Wednesday's, where we like to keep you all updated on What's Happening, What's Going On, as well as What's Coming Up with us over here at Strengthening Our Generation Foundation!!!
This is the 4th installment of the series, so let's get right to it!
This past weekend we held our 3rd Annual Back 2 School Fair and each and every year things seem to be bigger and better!!!
This year in Partnership with O'So Jazzy Natural Hair Salon we were able to provide Book Bags, Hygiene Kits, and Haircuts for the children of the 7 Bridges to Recovery organization which is based in Smyrna, GA.
The atmosphere of the event was amazing from beginning to end. We had great food, music, movies as well as 25+ beautiful and energetic children to make sure there was never a dull moment.
Thanks to Ms. Sylvia of the Hair Salon and her friends for hosting us and also providing Haircuts and Hair-Do's for all the boys and girls. One child even requested to have her hair braided by our very own Daleesha Cheatom, which was a huge delight!
Thanks to 7 Bridges to Recovery organization for trusting and allowing us to provide a service to the children of their organization! 7 Bridges strongly believes in Healing Through Service and us here at S.O.G share very similar values. We plan to grow and expound on our new partnership with 7 Bridges so please be on the lookout for great things to transpire in the near future!
And Finally I want to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported and contributed to the success of our 3rd Annual Back 2 School Fair. As stated earlier, it was an AMAZING and truly Fulfilling Day which would not have been possible with everyone's effort and contribution!!! Once Again we want to say THANK YOU and can't wait for next year's event!!!!!!!
